KUNG ZHU Review and Huge Giveaway!

I'm sure by now most of you have heard of the very popular Zhu Zhu pets.  Little toy hamsters that run around on a track and squeak and squeal at you.  Well now there are Zhu Zhu pets for boys called KUNG ZHU!

These warrior hamsters are far from being the cute and cuddly Zhu Zhu Pets that everyone fell in love with. But make no mistake, these ultra cool, tough pets will be a sure competition to the original Zhu Zhu Pets! With eight original characters split into two battling groups called Special Forces and Ninja Warriors, Kung Zhu Pet owners will have the thrill of training each character to transform fighting, battling warriors. While these Kung Zhu hamsters may start off as "cute" and "mild-mannered" once they are sent into their main training grounds, smart chip technology will actually allow you to hear a distinct personality transformation of fighting ninja and warriors.

When I received this box, my kids thought it was Christmas in June!  They were super excited and were jumping all over the house!  They couldn't wait to get everything set up and play with them. 

It did take a little bit of time to put the battle arena and all the track pieces together.  But once it was done, the kids couldn't wait to "battle" each other.  The zhu zhu pets wear battle armour and battle each other until one of them falls over inside the battle arena.  There is a kind of a good guy/bad guy feel for each pet and each accessory fits on their particular side.  You can choose to be part of the military team or the martial arts team.  Our boys are 10 and almost 9 and enjoyed playing with the KUNG ZHU set.  Our 5 year old daughter even wanted to get in on the action.  She has her own Zhu Zhu Pets, but because of the special microchip technology, the regular Zhu Zhu Pets won't be able to react to the special accessories built into this set.  Our 8 year old is even asking for more KUNG ZHU stuff for his upcoming birthday.

The KUNG ZHU set is a huge hit with our family.  I guess the only downside would be the space that it takes to leave it set up.  We have ours set up in a corner of our basement so it doesn't interfere too much with our space.  The new KUNG ZHU is available in your local Target, Walmart, and Toy R Us stores.  In fact, just this week I saw a whole section at our Target dedicated to KUNG ZHU.  To learn more about these toys, go to http://www.kungzhu.com/.
