I love looking at verses in the Bible and then finding those same verses in other translations. I found these verses comforting.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles but the Lord delivers him from them all; Psalm 34:17-19 NIV
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34: 17-19 RSV
The good man does not escape all troubles - he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one. Psalm 34:19 TLB
Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you. If your heart is broken, you'll find God right there; if you're kicked in the gut, he'll help you catch your breath. Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time. He's your bodyguard. Psalm 34:17-19 The Message
Godly people cry out, and the Lord hears them. He saves them from all of their troubles. The Lord is close to those whose hearts have been broken. He saves those whose spirits have been crushed. Anyone who does what is right may have many troubles. But the Lord saves him from all of them. Psalm 34:17-19 NIrV Kid's Quest Bible
Unfortunately, we can can't escape our troubles. We may be suffering from grief or failure, or just be frustrated by the daily things that bother us. God promises in these verses to be there. He may not always erase those problems for us, but the key is to stay close to God because He is close to you. Admit to Him that you need His help and thank Him for being there with you in these struggles. God knows how you feel when you are hurt, scared, and alone. He will stay with you and wrap you up in is comfort blanket of love.
