So, I thought I would take each Book of the Bible and share my thoughts, verses, or people that stood out or spoke to me on that particular day. I have been
If any of this has peaked your interest in Reading the Bible in 90 Days, check out Moms Toolbox. I am sure there will be another session this winter. And, if I can do it.....YOU CAN TOO!
I studied Isaiah during my Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) last year. But, as I read through Isaiah again, I found verses that hit me differently because of the previous books of the Bible, the history that I had been reading, the people I learned about. Isaiah became a book full of wisdom for me and very humbling.
Isaiah 2:12 The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled).
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Excuses for our actions only blur the distinction between right and wrong.
Isaiah 7:9 If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
Isaiah 8:13 The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread.
Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 12:2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
Isaiah 25:4 You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. Am I a refuge for the poor and needy? Have I offered shade and shelter? Am I offering enough?
Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.
Isaiah 33:2 O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.
Isaiah 33:22 For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is he who will save us.
