I had the pleasure of trying this huge jug of Island Fresh Coconut Oil over the past few months. I love coconut oil for personal use as well as in my cooking. There are so many benefits of coconut oil, that it truly can be used every day.
Island Fresh Coconut Oil is cold-pressed and never heated to protect the essential nutrients and antioxidants that make coconut oil so full of health benefits. There are so many ways to use this from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep at night.
- Add coconut oil to your coffee for Bullet Proof Coffee to kickstart your day.
- Use coconut oil on your skin after a shower to lock in moisture.
- Add a tablespoon of coconut oil to your mid-morning smoothie.
- Use coconut oil in place of butter or other oils when cooking your dinner.
- Use a coconut oil hair mask on your hair at night to wake up with freshly moisturized hair.
I could go on and on with the uses of coconut oil. Just google it and you will find a ton of ways to add it to your daily routine with amazing benefits.
One of the main ways I use coconut oil is in my smoothies. I like the tropical flavor it adds to my smoothies and makes them smooth and creamy. Last week I made up smoothie bags for the freezer and added a tablespoon of Island Fresh Coconut oil to each baggie. I also like to use it when I cook my eggs as I like the flavor it adds to the eggs.
As I mentioned earlier, this is a huge jar, at 54 ounces, it will last you awhile. After making several smoothie bags and using in my cooking, I still have lots of coconut oil left over. At $21.98, the price per ounce is pretty amazing. As soon as you open the jar, the wonderful tropical scent is hard to miss. It really makes cooking so much more enjoyable and you can pretend you are having a pina colada while cooking dinner for the family!
